Transcription Aid™

What is it?

Transcription Aid™ is based in an incredible simple idea: that a secretary could easily correct the small number of mistakes (approximately 2% to 3%) made when an user (the Author of documents) dictates to Dragon NaturallySpeaking® Professional. This is done by comparing the voice recording of the Author with the text automatically generated by the recognition, when the secretary presses a foot pedal.

Additionally, Transcription Aid™ will also allow to transcribe (and correct) any voice recording generated with virtually any recording application or digital recording device out of the office (digital recorder, Pocket® PC, Palm® PDA, Sony Clié®, MP3 recorder and even Smartphone!). Corrections introduced by the secretary in the transcription could also be used to improve the Author "Speech files" for further accuracy in the recognition process.

Transcription Aid™is incredibly easy and fun to use for correction and editing of transcriptions. Besides, the application has an enormous potential for quickly expanding the use of speech recognition and digital dictation in large corporations, hospitals, SME and public administrations. With Transcription Aid™the Author concentrates exclusively in dictation, inside or outside of his office, while the secretary takes care of all the other somehow "painful" aspects of speech recognition (proofreading, editing, correction of misrecognitions and improvement of "Speech files", etc.).

1. Ask a secretary to correct your transcriptions, by comparing the playback of your voice recording with the text transcribed by the application in perfect synchronisation, when pressing a foot pedal
2. Delegate also in a secretary the crucial task of improving your own User speech files, when she corrects the transcriptions, to increase your accuracy when dictating even further
3. Transcribe automatically recordings from a dictation application in your PC, any digital recorder whatever their make, Pocket PC, Palm PDA, MP3 player, Smartphone and treat the results as in points 1 and 2.
