Inbox Automation: Route incoming files to network folders, send email notifications to key employees or even execute a batch file or application for additional processing. Inbox Automation lets you manage incoming files automatically.

Autodelivery Folders: Use these special Windows folders to automatically send any file to any number of predetermined recipients. Autodelivery folders can be used by anyone on your network, regardless of computer platform. Automated processes can use Autodelivery folders to route completed files to their intended recipients.

Command-Line Interface: DropChute Enterprise features a complete command-line interface, letting you control it from a batch file. Other applications can use the interface to make DropChute Enterprise the file delivery component for in-house applications.

DropChute instant file delivery software was introduced in February 1998 to do away with problems businesses experience when they try to exchange files as email attachments or with ftp – problems such as corrupted files, slow or uncertain delivery, trouble exchanging large files, and security concerns. DropChute software is an easy way for health care providers to securely exchange private medical information electronically. DropChute instant file delivery software allows doctors, hospitals, health plans and health care clearinghouses to transfer patient records and billing information through the Internet without risk of eavesdropping, misrouting, or interception. DropChute is HIPAA compliant!

DropChute software incorporates an easy drag-and-drop interface, and lets users exchange files with others through secure, real-time PC-to-PC connections via the Internet, intranets, or direct modem-to-modem calls. DropChute automatically resumes interrupted file transfers, provides virus protection (updated free); ensures privacy with RSA Public Key Authentication and Symmetric Key Encryption (using Microsoft or 3rd party Cryptographic Service Providers conforming to MS CryptoAPI standards); issues real-time on-screen or e-mailed confirmations; and tracks activity with a detailed log.

Targeting the User

DropChute products meet the needs of specific market segments, including DropChute Enterprise, DropChute Pro, and DropChute Lite. All DropChute versions incorporate a familiar email-like user interface, making it convenient and intuitive to use. DropChute Enterprise was designed for easy integration with new or existing applications, and provides robust capabilities necessary for large-scale implementations. For example, the program stores its data in an ODBC-compatible database format that accommodates unlimited phonebooks and file lists; it also comes with the ODBC database engine used by Microsoft Access.

DropChute Enterprise has powerful Inbox Automation capabilities that allow businesses to predefine actions initiated automatically upon receiving files -- actions such as executing batch files or separate applications to process the received data. The program not only allows users to exchange individual files, but complete folders or entire drives. It can be configured to segregate files received from each party into separate folders or store them in common folders.

DropChute Enterprise also allows businesses to create Auto-Delivery folders. Files placed in an Auto-Delivery folder are automatically sent to one or more recipients associated with that folder. This provides a powerful mechanism for sending files automatically or manually. To send files automatically, other applications can simply write the files into these folders. To send files manually, users can just copy the files into the appropriate Auto-Delivery folder. By creating Auto-Delivery folders on shared network drives, administrators can enable users on company networks to exchange files with outside users, while avoiding the need to install the software on each network workstation. This makes it possible for even Mac or Unix users on the network to take advantage of the software.

In addition, businesses can easily drive DropChute Enterprise from other applications, by launching the product using a powerful set of command line options and switches. Users can pass the program the individual names of files and intended recipients, or lists of files and/or recipients.

Network Administrator Friendly

DropChute products include effective measures that enable businesses to accept inbound and outbound deliveries while safeguarding corporate network security. This software-only solution allows businesses to send and receive files through the Internet safely and securely, without the cost and complexity of hardware solutions such as VPNs and WANs. The methods DropChute products use to connect through firewalls are fully documented and pose no threat to firewall security. Users can connect through many firewalls without having to ask firewall administrators to make configuration changes. Firewall administrators can easily prevent use of DropChute from within their networks if they so choose.

DropChute products are easy to install and support. Companies that purchase site licenses can install the software on PCs throughout their organizations from a central location, without having to physically go to each PC. Administrators may use a "silent install" process or automate remote installations using Microsoft SMS (Software Maintenance Services). Administrators can also use the program's Export and Import functions to distribute phonebook entries that they have defined in advance to representing the company's employees, customers, vendors, or remote sites.

VoIP & Internet Rendezvous

Fully encrypted voice communications in DropChute Enterprise allows users with headsets (or speakers and microphones) to speak to one another with total privacy as they exchange files through the Internet, intranets or modems. Users can discuss or collaborate on files they are exchanging, or talk through the Internet whenever they like, and save on long-distance calls. Internet Rendezvous™ (patent pending) lets users connect through the Internet even to people who access the Internet by modem and aren't presently online. Internet Rendezvous places a direct-dialed call to the other PC's modem, and instructs that PC to rendezvous on the Internet. Both PCs then hang up and connect through the Internet automatically.
